We get FIVE seasons here in Lewiston.

I realize it... I am the LAMEST blogger ever. Or at least the most inconsistent blogger of all times. So I apologize. ;)
Many lovely things have been happening lately. =D
-We drove out to Moscow (and Pullman, too. not as nice as Moscow) yesterday... and what a lovely drive! Moscow has a nice old feel to it. I didn't get many pictures of the town itself... but the drive to. Ugh, and some of the pictures got flipped around. No idea why, but it's quite obnoxious.
-I'm on my last course in my Medical Transcription course! But ooooh my, is it frustrating! It's like the doctors forgot how to talk and are regressing to infancy and stumbling over words and stuttering and spitting and chewing while they're talking and purposely exaggerating their "outraaageous French accent!" (in case you've ever watched The Holy Grail; Monty Python of course) I don't mean to complain... I do need to work on my attitude about my school. It is frustrating, but God's given it to me to do, and it's a blessing... and it will help provide for the family. So I'm thankful... despite my complaining. ;)
-My wonderful family will be coming soon! I mean, some of the rest of them. =D =D And just in a few weeks! I never imagined we'd all be together again so soon! I especially never thought we'd be able to have the Hacklers here with us so soon. Having family around and friends that are as good as family... being able to spend hours upon hours with them and still enjoying them so much. Being able to worship with them, enjoy the thought-provoking conversation of like-minded brethren, stay up till 1 in the morning talking about things you can't understand (like God's neverendingness and neverbeginningness), eat pizza together! huddle in the freezing downstairs to watch a movie, or just chill. =) It's just such a wonderful blessing from God. Praise the Lord!
-And we even get visitors! The McClintocks are coming around the same time Jen and fam will get here. And I'm especially hoping the Wierzchowskis will be coming this winter..... I've heard it miiight just be possible! Woohoo!
-I've been seeing more and more of God's truth (cuz He's so faithful and kind to show it... through literature, conversations... and always the Bible. Praise the Lord for giving His Word to us!)... and have come to love the practice and doctrine of the Covenanters in a way I hadn't really before. I didn't really think differently from what I believe presently..... but I've just been so confirmed in those truths and feel them more deeply. I feel almost protective of them. It's God's truth and not one bit of His Word should be thrown aside or taken lightly or considered "insignificant." Who is man to decide what part of God's commands are important enough to obey or suffer for? You hear so often "who are we to say people are sinning because they don't agree with us on... covenanting, civil government, church government, worship in church"... take your pick. These aren't indifferent things. This isn't golf we're talking about, people. These are commands from the Lord that we're obligated to obey because He's saved us from bondage to sin! "If ye love me, keep my commandments." (John 14:15) The Christian has the God-given right to judge between right and wrong practices (in our own lives first, then others), as long as our standard is His Standard, and we judge in charity, mercy and truth.
We have to take stands in life. And yes, we are to love our brothers, even when we disagree with them. But God has Standards... and God help us all to believe them, love them, and live by them! Even when it means separating ourselves from those we love who walk and preach against God's Word.
-Jen (my dear dearest oldest sister!) sent us a lovely package (taped to the hilt, I might add:>) with lovely things in it! Green Mountain coffee for Ang (but of course she's so sweet and shares it with us). How Jen knew that we had been talking about GM coffee for the past few WEEKS and looonging for it, I don't know. But she did. The girl reads our minds, I tell you. =) =) She also sent us the cutest little iceskate decorations... and ribbon! Oooh, how I love ribbon! And I love the ribbon she sent. ;) So the other ladies allowed me to use their iceskates along with mine to decorate our front windows. They're strung up by red striped ribbon, hanging from the curtain rods. And they look lovely. =) I'll have to take a pic of them to show.
-Speaking of taking pics... I need to take one of Emmy's scarf! I finally finished knitting it, a weekish ago. So I decided it need a heart on it (the scarf is cream)... pink hearts, of course. So I wove a heart in it, with much frustration I'll have you know. I've never been skilled in drawing symmetrical hearts, let alone weaving them into a scarf evenly. Anyway. It turned out upside down.... So like when she'd be wearing it, there would be this upside down heart at the end. But Ang and Rach helped me in my stupidity and suggested I add another one.... so I did, right side up! Anyway, it's alllll better now.
-I finished typing up John Brown of Haddington's book. You know, the one with the neverending title. ;) It was an excellent book, though. So I'm starting on another book, and proofreading yet another one. I'm excited. =)

Well, I'm exceeedingly tired now.... haven't put that much time into a post for a while. ;)
So I bid you good night!
And remember, "...whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by Him." -Col. 3:17.

Driving back from Moscow. (hehe, notice the lovely sourdough biscuits on the dash?)

Pretty countryside between Moscow and Lewiston.

Looking down on Lewiston from the top of the bluffs. Yes, we drove down that windy rode you're looking at. That was sweet.

It was so windy that day! Especially up there! MY goodnessss!!

Anyway... I think Lewiston is beautiful. And Mom definitely likes it more than she used to. =)
We all love it.
Oh yeah, the reason we get five seasons here might be apparent from the pictures. The grass turns green BEFORE winter as well as AFTER winter. So it goes Spring, Summer, Fall, Spring, Winter... etc. =) Don't you just feel the urge to move here now? (Oh, gas is $1.87 now by the way.)

Sigh

Well, Obama won. But hey! Check out this picture... and look closely at the lit sign. :> :> :> This is across the street from my house.

So like, what reason could you POSSIBLY have not to move to Idaho?!? Lewiston, especially. :>

Mavis Beacon isn't real!

(Ok... so I wrote this the other day, and I tried to post it, but it wouldn't work... so just remember, everything I said is a few days old. =) And.. I don't have time to put captions with the pictures right now... housework and all. and we might be goin out for John's birthday too.. oh yeah! HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JOHN!)
Much to my surprise, and I must say, dismay, Rachael has informed me that Mavis Beacon actually isn't a real person... they made her up. I feel so hurt and deceived... I mean, I thought I could trust Mavis. She encouraged me, when I failed typing tests. She listened to me when I yelled at the computer, again, when I failed typing tests. And she never yelled at me for looking down at the keys instead of typing by memory. We were so close, Mavis and I. And now, to think she's not even real.
ok ok, I'm done.
I don't know what that was all about... :-/ ;)
So yeah! Life's goin good... just eeeeeeeeeeeagerly awaiting the arrival of ALL of my family. Well, I mean... all of my siblings and their families. =D Eeeek, I can't wait! (ooh something smells like fried chicken! oh dear)
The Hacklers have been here for two weeks and one day already! :O :O :O I can't believe how fast it's gone by. It's been sooo lovely. =) At first, it was just shocking, but after a couple seconds it was like they'd never left at all. Well, mostly. ;) But anyway, it's fabulous, and I'm so thankful to God for working it all out. We've had prayer meeting two times now... and it's great. =)
Ang and Rach are still trying to get work... it didn't work out at Safeway for a certain position... but the front end manager (or somebody) said that if a cashier position opens up, Ang is at the top of the list. So Lord willing something will open up, if not at Safeway... somewhere. We still haven't heard back from Rosauers (another grocery store) about Rach working there. So if y'all could pray for all that, that'd be awesome.
Oooh, while we were on a walk yesterday morning... we found a very cute house for rent. It looks like a 2 (maaaaaybe 3) bedroom house... WITH a finished basement, though. We peaked inside the windows, of course. ;) So Ang gave them a call and left a message, and we haven't heard back yet. It's pretty close to us, which would be really awesome. We live on the corner of 20th St. and 11th Ave, and that house is on 15th Ave and 11th St, if you can picture that.
And now to the main point of my post, which I am shamefully late in attending to. ;)
We looked at the house Larry and Jen are going to rent Lord willing, when the get here. And it's SOO GREAT. He's painting the walls inside, and I must say, he has great taste in color. I didn't get very good or very many pictures... they certainly don't do the house justice. BUT, it is something.
