"The Christian ideal...

has not been tried and found wanting, it has been found difficult and left untried." -G.K. Chesterton
I love that quote. It's very apt for our society... and especially our Christian society. We try to get by with just the bare necessities of Christianity... and are too forgetful of just how offensive to the Lord sin is. Every sin. By one sin all mankind was sentenced to eternal damnation... but for the incomprehensible suffering of our Lord and dearest friend Jesus Christ. Can you imagine? We murdered our best, truest friend... because of greed and pride. What an amazing God we have. "There is no sin little, because no little god to sin against." -Matthew Henry "If ye love me, keep my commandments." -Our Savior "God's favors to us lay strong obligations upon us to be obedient to Him." -Matthew Henry
And a few more quotes... "Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ." -Col. 2:8 "Who is this that darkeneth counsel by words without knowledge?" -Job 38:2 "Be not wise in thine own eyes:" -Prov. 3:7 "Thy testimonies have I taken as an heritage forever: for they are the rejoicing of my heart. I have inclined mine heart to perform thy statutes always, even unto the end." -Psalm 119:11&12 That is wisdom... the fear of the Lord! To love the word that comes straight from His mouth... the wisest Sage... and truly there's no greater gain.

Here are some pics from spring... I couldn't arrange them in the post... so they're totally out of sequence. But you'll get the drift, I'm sure. ;)

Lizzie's first Lord's day.

Me and my buddy.

Hehe, isn't that cute?

Rach and Lizzie

Oh my goodness, she was so teeny! She's so fat now. =D

Aw, aren't babies just pathetic? You know, in a precious way.

Truly, she is the strangest... just for pictures, though. ;) However, I seem to recall another blonde-headed fruitcake that would never take a serious picture. Yesss, I have an abundance of horridly incriminating pictures of my itsy bitsy years.

Don't be fooled by that fake smile (cute as it may be)... She's got a double-barreled shotgun and she's not afraid to use it.

Walter looked so cute in his Chucks.... but, alas, he has outgrown them already.

Hooray for dogwoods!

These pictures don't relay their true beauty... they're rapturously gorgeous!
(sorry 'bout the drama, I just love them)

Well... that's all I got for now. I'll have to work up to being a real blogger again very slowly... wouldn't wanna pull a brain muscle or anything.

PS: Kris! What'd you think of the movie, btw?

"Reverence: Fear of the Lord is a reverential awe of God; a reverence for His power and glory,.designation of true piety (Prov. 1:7; Job 28:28; Ps. 19:9). It is a fear conjoined with love and hope, and is therefore not a slavish dread, but rather filial (relationship) reverence."- from a blog I came upon. Thanks for the wonderful post!!!!!! And ALL the great pics!!!!!!
